The coordinator of the project is Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Institute for Intercultural Psychology and Education (IIPE).

IIPE was founded in 2005 as an independent organisational, educational and research centre within the Faculty of Education and Psychology at Eötvös Loránd University. It has been an independent institute since 2015.

In IIPE we teach and do research on the complex topic of interculturality, with an interdisciplinary approach that applies methods and aspects from the field of pedagogy, psychology and sociology of education.

The leader of the Institute Prof. dr. János Győri deals with many other aspects of education as well, among them teachers' professional development, educational knowledge management, teachers' educational knowledge sharing etc.

The staff members of IIPE are involved in a wide range of national and international research projects, like:

  • European perspectives of the ethnic cultural identity development (international)
  • COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Transnational Collaboration on Bullying, Migration and Integration at School Level (international)
  • Psychological aspects of international mobility in higher education: Adaptation and acculturation of students studying abroad (national)
  • The emergence and diffusion of local innovations and their systemic impact in the education sector (national).
